The story

The Rockstar oddball

Bully (known as Canis Canem Edit in Europe) is Rockstar at its most unexpected. You play as Jimmy Hopkins, dropped at Bullworth Academy boarding school: survive the cliques, the classes and the teachers, in a GTA-sized world that fits inside a school uniform. Surprisingly hard to put down.

What you get

The Scholarship Edition (2008), more complete than the PS2 original: 8 extra missions, 4 new classes, local multiplayer and improved visuals. The definitive way to experience Bullworth.

Why play it in 2026

Compact at 15-20 hours (not 60) and genuinely funny, it is Rockstar humor at its purest, before GTA V turned it into satire. Physical copies of the original are quietly gaining value. A cult classic worth picking up before Bully 2 eventually shows up.

Is Bully compatible with recent consoles? +
Yes. The Xbox 360 version is backward-compatible on Xbox One and Series. The PC version runs on modern setups. For Wii, you need a Wii or Wii U console.
What is the difference between Bully and the Scholarship Edition? +
The Scholarship Edition (2008) adds 8 missions, 4 classes, local multiplayer and improved graphics over the 2006 PS2 original. It is the recommended edition.
Does Bully 2 exist? +
Rockstar has never officially announced Bully 2. Rumours and trademark filings keep hope alive, but nothing concrete. If Bully 2 ships, it will be after GTA 6.
How many hours of play? +
15 to 25 hours for the main story, up to 35-40 hours for 100%. Ideal between two big open worlds.
