Two editions, not three
Forget the usual Standard / Deluxe / Collector structure. Rockstar goes direct: two digital editions only, Standard and Ultimate. No physical collector edition announced at launch. The physical version exists, but it is a code in the box: a retail box containing a download code, no Blu-ray disc.
If you want to play on day one without waiting for delivery, digital is the only reliable option. For those who want a physical box, the code in the box is available at select retailers including Amazon.

Preload November 12, release November 19
Digital preload opens November 12, 2026, one week before release. Seven days for the file to land on your console, ready to play at midnight on the 19th. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, preload is available immediately after purchasing a digital edition or a code.
Release remains November 19, 2026, simultaneous on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. PC confirmed for post-launch, no date.
