There are two questions fans ask before November 19. The first: which console to play on. The second, less obvious: whether the PS5 Pro is worth the premium specifically for GTA 6.

The short answer: yes, GTA 6 will be better on PS5 Pro than on PS5 standard. The longer answer: by exactly how much, and whether that "better" justifies 900 EUR of hardware, depends on what you expect from the game.

Rockstar has not yet detailed the graphics modes for GTA 6 on PS5 Pro: whether the game will offer a performance mode (FPS priority), a fidelity mode (resolution priority), or a balanced mode. These specifics will likely be communicated closer to launch.

PS5 Pro vs Xbox Series X for GTA 6

GTA 6 releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S simultaneously on November 19, 2026. The official price is the same on both platforms.
