The story

The American dream, Niko's way

2008. Niko Bellic, an Eastern European immigrant, arrives in Liberty City to escape his past and chase the American dream. Between debts, betrayals and moral choices, GTA IV marks the series' turn toward something harder and more adult.

What you get

A dense solo campaign of around twenty hours, plus both expansions The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, bundled together in the PC Complete Edition.

Why play (or replay) it in 2026

For Niko Bellic, one of the most human protagonists Rockstar has ever written, and for the Euphoria engine that many players still prefer over GTA V. Liberty City remains one of the most memorable rereadings of New York in any open world.
