The story

The foundations of the saga

Before the modern Los Santos and Liberty City, there were GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. Three PS2 games that invented GTA as we know it, brought together here in HD in a single edition.

What you get

The three complete campaigns remastered: HD textures, reworked lighting, modernized controls and updated aiming. From Liberty City 2001 to the San Andreas of 1992, dozens of hours of classics.

Why play (or replay) in 2026

Vice City is the 1980s Miami that directly inspired the world of GTA 6. Playing through the Trilogy is going back to the source of Rockstar's American satire before the big return.

Is the Definitive Edition worth it in 2026? +
Yes. After several updates, the version is significantly more stable than at launch. It is the simplest way to (re)play the classics on modern hardware.
Which platform should I buy it on? +
Nintendo Switch, PS5/PS4, Xbox Series/One and PC. The only way to have Vice City and San Andreas officially on recent consoles.
Can I buy Vice City or San Andreas separately? +
The PS2 originals are no longer sold new. The Trilogy Definitive Edition is now the official way to play them.
