The story

The original neon

Vice City is the Miami of the 1980s as you always imagined it: pastel, neon, white suits, synthwave on the radio. Tommy Vercetti walks out of prison and takes the city. It is the direct inspiration behind GTA 6, which returns to Florida.

How to play it today

The original PS2/PC release has been delisted for years. Vice City is now included in the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, remastered in HD, on Nintendo Switch, PS5/PS4, Xbox and PC.

Why now

Vice City is GTA 6's direct ancestor: same Florida, same neon spirit. Going back through it before Rockstar's grand return to the Sunshine State means going back to the source.
