Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer, published on October 15, 2026, runs 90 seconds. We went through it second by second and picked 10 shots that reward a pause, starting with a phone number on a marina sign.

Our launch trailer breakdown covers the video from start to finish, plus the date and the music. This one picks out 10 GTA 6 trailer details that go by fast: pause at the timestamps below and you cannot miss them.
Timestamps refer to Rockstar's YouTube video. We describe what is on screen, and we write "in our reading" when we are interpreting.
Around 0:04. An aerial view of the marina: a "BRIAN'S MARINA" sign sits above a hangar, with boats stacked on racks. At the bottom of the racks, a sign reads "RENT A RACK 786-555-0109."
In our reading, the number mixes real and fake: 786 is a real Miami-area code, while 555-0100 through 555-0199 is the range that the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA) reserves for fictional use, and 555-0109 falls inside it. Around 0:02, a "The Keys" sign had already set the scene.
That leaves Brian. Rockstar's official profile calls him "a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys," still moving product "through his boat yard," and says he lets Jason live "rent-free at one of his properties." The sign does not name Brian Heder: linking the two is our reading.
Around 0:13. A man stands on a dock, facing a seaplane sitting on the water. The shot does not name him.
As of October 15, 2026, Rockstar's Music page shows an image of a seaplane marked "Brian's" as the background of its "Official Score by Justice" section: the plane is in flight at sunset, above water dotted with small wooded islands. We are not saying it is the same aircraft. The name "Brian's" shows up three times in Rockstar's images: on the marina in the trailer, on the fuselage of the seaplane at the dock and on this one.
For Justice and the rest of the music, see our soundtrack and radio page.
Around 0:38. At sunset, on a runway, a pickup drives under the fuselage of a plane, near its landing gear. A figure stands on the pickup's roof, the city on the horizon.
Rockstar does not say who is on the roof or what the pickup is doing, and we do not invent a story for the shot. On screen: an airport runway, a plane seen from underneath, the city stretching out behind.
Around 0:40. Leaning on a red coupe next to Lucia, in front of stacked shipping containers, Jason wears a gray T-shirt. Text visible in the 4K version: "U.S. ARMY," "MARAUDER," "COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL," then a smaller last line that is hard to read.
In our reading, it echoes the voice heard in the opening seconds, which we attribute to Jason: "I got in some trouble in the army…" (our transcription). It also fits Rockstar's profile of Jason, which says that after "a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens," he ended up in the Keys "working for local drug runners." Rockstar does not comment on the T-shirt. More on Jason and Lucia (in French).
Around 0:55. A biplane skims a crowded beach, trailing pink smoke. A figure stands on the upper wing.
The trailer does not say who it is or why. Pause it and you can make out a beach packed with umbrellas, towers behind it and a construction crane. Rockstar does not say where in Leonida the beach is.
Around 0:59. Two figures in pink balaclavas, long guns in hand, pose on a stage lit in blue and red. A cloth backdrop is stretched across the back.
No name, no line of dialogue: Rockstar does not identify these two figures, and neither do we. Note the setting instead: red curtains, blue light, a backdrop whose emblem stays blurry.
Around 1:03. At night, the rear of a sports car with twin round red taillights, in front of lit towers. Its license plate shows an orange.
In our reading, it is a nod to Florida license plates, which have long carried an orange in their design. The plate's text is illegible: pausing the frame will not change that.
Around 1:09. At night, above the city, a figure clings to the outside of a yellow and white helicopter with a riveted fuselage.
Just before, around 1:08, a helicopter lights up a glass facade and fires on it. Nothing says it is the same aircraft, or who is hanging on. The camera tilts down: the city lies far below.
Around 1:10. At night, a white SUV with "SHERIFF" on its tailgate drives over wet ground at the edge of a wood. It is the only vehicle marked "SHERIFF" that we noted in the trailer.
A white police car also appears in the city around 0:47. Rockstar does not say who is driving this SUV or where it is headed. Around it: soaked ground, black trees, a sky still orange.
Around 1:13. From behind, a woman in a gold sequined dress stands in front of a large, lit blue tank. At 1:14 and 1:15, several swimmers move inside it.
It is one of the last shots before the GTA VI logo, around 1:16. The place is not identified: we noted it as an aquarium, but nothing on screen names or confirms it.
On YouTube, the video opens on the PlayStation logo and a "Plays best on PS5" card. Its end card shows only the PS5 logo among the platform logos, with "CAPTURED ON PS5."
The downloadable file from Rockstar's media hub has no PlayStation opening card, and its end card carries both the PS5 and XBOX SERIES X|S logos, still with "CAPTURED ON PS5." We checked both files. The Newswire post lists the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The iguana at 0:21 belongs on our wildlife page for Leonida (in French): according to Game Informer, the game has more than 170 animal species.
Neither the video's description nor Rockstar's Newswire post comments on any of these details: the description covers only a summary of Jason and Lucia's situation, the music by Justice, the in-game capture on PS5 and the release date. Everything above is observation, and interpretation where we say so. The game arrives November 19, 2026; for the unlock time, see the release time.

Shots, signs, cards and timestamps: noted by the editorial team from the video and its 4K file on October 15, 2026. The voice is transcribed with an automatic speech-recognition tool and attributed to Jason by inference (Rockstar does not attribute it).
The trailer's end card reads "Pre-order now." Digital pre-orders for GTA 6 have been open since June 25, 2026, on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store. Each page below details the Standard and Ultimate editions.
The editorial team noted 10: the phone number on Brian's marina (0:04), the seaplane (0:13), the pickup under the plane (0:38), Jason's "U.S. ARMY" T-shirt (0:40), the figure on the biplane wing (0:55), the two pink balaclavas (0:59), the orange on the license plate (1:03), the figure hanging on the helicopter (1:09), the "SHERIFF" SUV (1:10) and the tank with swimmers (1:13).
In our reading, it mixes real and fake: 786 is a real Miami-area code, but 555-0100 through 555-0199 is a range that the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA) reserves for fictional use, and 555-0109 falls inside it. Rockstar does not comment on the sign.
We are not saying so. The trailer shows a seaplane sitting on the water in front of a dock around 0:13. As of October 15, 2026, Rockstar's Music page shows a seaplane marked "Brian's," in flight, as the background of its Justice section. The name shows up again; nothing proves it is the same aircraft.
In the video's description and in its Newswire post, Rockstar does not flag any and does not comment on any of these shots. Our list is observation, with a few readings marked as such: a number that is both real and fictional, a name that comes back (Brian's), an orange on a plate. Nod or Easter egg: your call.
Rockstar does not name them, and the trailer names only Jason and Lucia. So we do not name them either.
No, according to what we found. On YouTube, it shows only the PS5 logo among the platform logos, with "CAPTURED ON PS5." In the downloadable file from Rockstar's media hub, it carries the PS5 and XBOX SERIES X|S logos, with the same line. The Newswire lists the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
No. Rockstar only says the trailer was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5. It does not say where these shots sit in the story, or which ones are playable. Our readings are observations, not confirmations.
